One Month

Well, today our li'l Nugget is one month old. She celebrated by using her leg muscles to "stand up". There is definitely some smiling action, also.
This week we had our first road trip down to Grammy and Granddad's to meet the Great Grandparents. There was some rough patches, but I think we did okay. (pictures from the trip to follow later).
Beatrix loves to look around at everything, especially faces. She has a couple of favorite toys: her ABC123 mobile from Grammy, a little book of faces, an activity mat she just got from Grammy for her to enjoy while at her house, and last but certainly not least, Daddy. When we got home and she saw Daddy she couldn't keep her eyes off of him. He gave her a bottle and they settled in for a little nap time.
We're all getting on quite nicely.

2 out of 7 in one week

"Yeah, undergoing two of the seven major changes in life at the same time is not a good idea if you have a choice. " -Princess Mariposa

Well, we had no choice, and we did it. It seems like giving birth and moving days apart is quite common. Even my own mother did it after my birth.

We had a lot of great help. Granddad and Grammy came into town and helped all weekend, Keely recruited professionals, and Nathan came over and helped Christian.

Home Sweet Home

We had a little rough patch while waiting for the milk to come in. Daddy gave Bealee a couple of ounces of formula and she was appeased! She started opening her eyes (picture above is the first with her eyes open). The next couple of days we all just rested together and got to know each other better. It was really sweet and probably the best couple of days in my life. Then it was back to the grind!

Homeward Bound

We were very ready to take Beatrix home to start her new life and meet her doggies and bunnies. Christian took this picture of us, with our wonderful gifts we had received, moments before we left.
